This blow-molded HDPE container has handles for easy holding and structural ribbing to withstand high vacuum conditions. OTI provided the finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure adequate structural rigidity. The proprietary 11/4" ball valve automatically locks in the closed position so the unit cannot accidentally open even when dropped on the ball valve or handle. OTI designed both the container and valve to meet stringent medical device requirements. OTI's contributions in this project were industrial design, mechanical design, FEA, product specification, prototypes, and product testing.
