Beverage Container BeltTM

Features a streamlined, stylish,
and comfortable design.
Water or other beverages are always accessible.
The Problem To Be Solved:

As Americans have become more and more concerned about staying healthy, exercising has become a part of daily life for many. Water is essential to the body's normal functioning, especially with increased physical activity.

As a result, the demand for portable sources of water has increased dramatically and bottled water has emerged as a leading beverage in the U.S., second only to carbonated soft drinks, and generating billions in revenues each year.

Yet widespread controversy has arisen over the use of disposable plastic water bottles, which have created a major waste problem. More than 60 million plastic bottles are thrown away on a daily basis, and end up in landfills, incinerators, or as public litter.

Reusing these disposable plastic water bottles isn't a viable solution since bacteria quickly grows inside the single-use bottles, and pose a health threat to users.

Alternatives to disposable plastic water bottles include buying durable, reusable plastic bottles. But they are usually large and cumbersome to carry around, especially while exercising, hiking, biking, etc. They are also inconvenient since they must be removed from a pocket, pouch, or harness to use, and then put back in after use.

There are a variety of waist packs and hydration belts, yet most of these are also bulky, similar to canteens, and awkward to use.

Beverage Container BeltTM

The Beverage Container BeltTM is an eco-friendly, reusable, and durable solution that doesn't have any of the environmental and health concerns associated with single-use plastic bottles. Its design features make it more functional and comfortable to wear. This streamlined, stylish, lightweight hydration belt is worn around the waist, is handsfree, and is comfortable as well as always accessible.

It features a flat hydration bladder which holds 24 oz to 36 oz of any cool liquids (i.e. water, sodas, juices, etc.), attached to a long tube-like straw. The fluids in the bladder can be refrigerated and kept cold until ready for use. The special fabric keeps liquids cool until the consumption of the fluids have been completed. Even ice can be put in this belt, such as the ice that comes mixed with fountain drinks.

The belt and tube-like straw have stylish interchangeable outer covers with appealing designs to match a variety of fitness apparel. (These stylish outer coverings would be available separately.)

The bladder is removable, enabling it to be easily cleaned and disinfected. The hydration bladder, the suction tubing, and the glue that holds the parts together are all made of FDA-approved materials.

The Beverage Container BeltTM has a wide range of applications and uses, including:

Health & Fitness

Exercise and intense physical activities increase the body's need for water to prevent dehydration before, during and after any strenuous exertion. Uses in this category include exercising at gyms, walking, jogging, running, using a treadmill, etc. The Beverage Container BeltTM allows users to remain hands free at all times, and whenever they're thirsty, they just pull out the straw and drink. At the gym, it can be used while exercising on one's back, something that can't be done with other products.

Sports and Recreation

Contact sports require constant drinking of fluids to prevent dehydration. The Beverage Container BeltTM eliminates having to interrupt practice sessions to go get a drink on the sidelines. It is ideal for use on football, baseball and soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, golf courses, etc.

Outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, camping, hunting, birdwatching, horseback riding, traveling, going to amusement parks and zoos, usually last for many hours and require drinking liquids to prevent dehydration. The Beverage Container BeltTM is great for picnics and parks so kids don't have to use unclean water faucets.

Humanitarian and Relief Efforts

Volunteers and emergency staff need to remain hydrated during relief efforts after natural disasters like storms, cyclones, earthquakes, hurricanes, etc., as well as utilized in international relief efforts in war torn areas. The Beverage Container BeltTM is made of FDA approved materials and can also hold medicines to help aid the injured. It can also be used in rescue kits for schools, churches, and organizations in case of natural disasters.

For men in the armed forces, traditional canteens often fall off their shoulders and are bulky and in the way. The Beverage Container BeltTM is comfortable, out of the way, and is always accessible.

It can also aid disabled people who go out for a short period of time, since they wear it around their waist, and it is accessible whenever they need it.

The Workforce

Factory workers at manufacturing plants usually work around hot machinery, so wearing the hydration belt ensures that they have proper access to water anytime throughout the day. It can also eliminate having to take too many breaks throughout the day for water, thus increasing productivity.
