Salty Dog Sidewalk Salter
Category: Home & Garden, Industrial

Unique features & benefits:

Those who live where it snows, are more than familiar with the necessity and legal requirements of spreading rock salt on porches, walkways, sidewalks, and driveways to keep them clear of ice during the winter seasons. This is a chore that must be done at least after every snowfall, and in many cases more frequently for safety reasons.

While buying rock salt in a plastic bag is very inexpensive and available everywhere, the current tools to dispense the salt are usually cumbersome and inefficient. Most importantly, they do not keep the salt dry.

The Salty Dog Sidewalk Salter is an inexpensive, totally enclosed salt spreader, that is hand held and made of rigid plastic to salt any area quicker and more effectively.

Simply scoop the salt into the back end of the container and close it by screwing on the cap - this keeps the salt from spilling out as well as keeping it dry. Then hold it in one hand while using your other hand to turn the handle crank that dispenses the salt at the front. When you stop turning the handle, the salt stops flowing.

This lightweight and easy to carry device helps users dispense salt cleanly, accurately, and conveniently. No tools or assembly are needed, and it is a durable product for repeated use.

Additional product options include a rechargeable motor that would dispense salt with the push of a button, as well as making it in a variety of larger sizes to accomodate salting larger areas.
