American cars normally have center armrests built into their design. Imports, however, which account for approximately 60 million out of 125 million passenger cars in the U.S., do not have this feature. Imports, particularly Japanese, usually offer only one armrest which is built into the door, leaving the driver and passenger without a center armrest. Additionally, some cars have center armrests that are dysfunctional because they are not at the correct height or position for the driver. The Comfort Rest fits into the category of aftermarket automotive products that ease the hassle of commuting to and from work. Aftermarket auto products have been popular sellers for years - including coffee cups, cushions, sun roofs, etc. The Comfort Rest is an after-market, easy-to-fit, add-on armrest for the millions of commuters that drive imports. It is removable, easy to install, adjustable, and features a variety of models - one for automobile bucket seats, and one for bench-type seats in pick-up trucks. The pick-up truck version provides an armrest for both the driver and passenger, is completely portable and can be easily removed and replaced within seconds. Target market: Approximately 60 million (or 36-40%) of the passenger cars in the U.S., which are imports without center armrests. Inventor is seeking:Start-up venture capital for manufacturing, marketing and distribution of the product. NOTE: Registered U.S. trademark; Patented Contact information
