Skating is typically recognized as a sport for the younger and stronger set. Yet many people of all sizes and ages, whether wannabe fitters or the thrill seeking kind, find themselves leaning towards the novelty of rollerskating, whether in traditional form or in today's haute form of in-line skating. The most common drawback, however, has always been the danger of falling and seriously injuring one's self in the learning process.
Araknogear, the Skating Rak, was developed to help all aspiring skaters to learn the sport with minimal risk of injury. Its design helps the aspirer to learn the correct position for skating and the correct method for acceleration, which is the push backward motion.
In the event that the user should slip or even just feel any apprehension and uncertainty in losing their balance, the user merely need to apply pressure to the seat and the wheel cones should close over the wheels bringing the Araknogear to a complete stop.
With Araknogear, more and more people should be able to learn to skate with more confidence and security, and the market for skaters should expand to even those who are fundamentally "out of shape" or those who feel they are under or beyond the age of "athletic risk".
The skating sports will be a much bigger field with the Araknogear - instead of only to the skater types who have no fear or have had great inspiration in overcoming it.
A special design feature of the Araknogear will enable it to be compressed so that it can easily fit inside a box similar to those that roller blades come in, with a handle so that the user can carry the Araknogear like a briefcase.
